On April 24th, Scouts and Leaders from Livingston Boy Scout Troop 16 hiked ten miles on the Palisades Trail in New Jersey and New York as one of the requirements for the Hiking Merit Badge.

The loop hike included following the trail along the Hudson River, climbing over the 1 mile boulder field known as the Giant Stairs, having lunch at Peanut Leap’s waterfall, visiting the Women’s Federation Monument, stopping at State Line Lookuout and hiking along the upper ridge.  Along the trail, scouts saw hawks, ducks, geese and a snake.
